Fortnite Gets Graphics Upgrade, Here Are the PC Specs Required

The PC version of Fortnite will get an important update regarding graphics improvements, Epic Games recently announced, that when the next season there will be a new level of graphic quality that gamers with high PC specs can take advantage of.

Epic updated quality preset options in Fortnite. Players who set their graphics settings to “High” will now get the same visuals as players who set their graphics to “Epic”.

While gamers using Epic’s settings will get better visuals than ever before, including the Strom effect, as well as “cooler-looking explosions, fire, and Slurp effects,” said Epic Games.

Players using the highest graphics settings will also notice better post-processing effects with various lightning features, such as blooms, lens flares, and shadows.

Epic also introduced the effect for the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of Fortnite last fall, and now they’re bringing it to PC.

“With this new update, Epic PC’s visual effects will now be on par with next-generation consoles,” an Epic Games spokesperson said. And based on the Polygon page, Fortnite’s graphics settings have supported ray tracing since last September.

Due to this visual improvement, Epic’s graphics settings will now require a slightly taller PC. Since the high quality presets will be like the visual quality of the old Epic, thus the PC specs required also go up.
