Fnatic Strengthens Dota 2 Roster by Recruiting Abed and Adam
After several tournaments with disappointing results, the team Dota 2 Fnatic announced that they recruited Abed and Adam to roster they. Abed will come in to replace Xcalibur at mid, while Adam will fill the coach seat for this team.
Prior to joining Fnatic, Abed was a player who was talked about quite a lot. He began to be in the spotlight since playing in a major tournament with the Execration team. But his prestige only rose when he moved to America and played for the Onyx team which was later recruited by Digital Chaos.
Even though he is only 17 years old, he has played quite a lot in international tournaments, from the Kiev Major, Dota Summit 7, to The International 2021. He is also the first player to reach 10,000 Solo MMR. However, after several rumors circulated, he finally officially stated parting with Digital Chaos last October.
While Adam or formerly known as 343 is a former Fnatic player. He was part of Fnatic who managed to snatch the top four positions at The International 2021. After parting ways with Fnatic after The International 2021, he changed teams frequently and served as coach for Complexity during The International 2021. However, he never stayed long in the team he played for.
This change is actually predictable given the poor performance of Fnatic in the Major and Minor tournaments. So far they have never passed a Major or Minor qualifier. Their appearance at ESL One Hamburg 2021 and the Dota Pit League was only a substitute for the Southeast Asian representative team who were unable to attend. But even in those two tournaments they were always in last place.
The two new members of Fnatic will make their debut today in the Southeast Asia qualifiers of Dota Summit 8. Their first opponent will be Entity Gaming from the Philippines who passed the open qualifiers. We’ll see how they get today.
