ESL One Mumbai 2021 Qualification Recap

The series of qualifications for ESL One Mumbai 2021 just ended on 3 March. A total of five teams from five regions were finally determined to accompany the seven invited teams, which to this day are still in the confirmation process.

The five regional qualifiers for ESL One Mumbai 2021 include North America, China, Europe, Southeast Asia, and India as the host. Each region is followed by four teams and uses the same format, namely double elimination best of three, then best of five in the final round with a one game advantage for the team from upper bracket.

In the Southeast Asia region, PG.Barracx from Indonesia participated as one of the teams that passed the open qualification. Unfortunately, in the first match they had to compete against TNC. Despite putting up a fight, they had to lose 2-1 and go down to lower bracket.

Faced 496 Gaming from Vietnam in lower bracket, PG.Barracx again lost 2-1 and fell out of qualifying. TNC and 496 Gaming themselves then met in the qualifying final. In the end, TNC itself came out victorious with a score of 3-1 and will compete at ESL One Mumbai 2021.

While in other regions, J.Storm came out as champion in the North American qualifiers defeating teams such as Team Team and Flying Penguins. The Pango will represent the European region quite easily. China will be represented by Keen Gaming, and finally India will be represented by Signify.
