Embarrassing! Proven to Cheat 37 CS:GO Coaches Banned
A few days ago, one of the shooting games, Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) was enlivened with cases of cheating committed by a number of coaches in certain tournaments. The trainers were proven to have cheated by exploiting a bug in CS:GO’s spectator mode. As a result, the coaches had no morals and even then were banned from the game because they were proven to have cheated.
Previously, ESL had given sanctions to 3 coaches who were proven to have cheated during a CS:GO tournament. The three coaches were from the MIBR, Heroic, and Hard Legion teams. After that, the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) or the Esports Integrity Commission will investigate the case further whether there is a possibility that other parties are also involved in the fraud.

In carrying out further investigations related to cheating, ESIC has sent a number of its members to check game data in recent months. Unmitigated, as many as 100,000 CS:GO battle data were researched. Large data also reaches 15 terabytes.
A very big step taken by ESIC to quell fraud in CS:GO. The investigation carried out by ESIC finally paid off. They found that there were 37 CS:GO trainers who were proven to have cheated while playing the game. They were caught taking advantage of a bug in the spectator mode in the CS:GO game.
As a result, some of the cheating coaches were banned and not given permission to play and coach professional teams when participating in a tournament. The trainers who are proven to have cheated are given different sanctions, according to the level of cheating they have committed.
There are those who are given a sanction that they are not allowed to participate in matches and train professional teams for good. There are also those who are only given a ban for some time. It all depends on how often they use the CS:GO spectator mode bug.
However, ESIC explained that so far they have only found about 20% of the fraud cases. The longest sentence received by Aleksandr “zoneR” who was proven to have cheated was long enough. From March to May 2021, Aleksandr was proven to have cheated 16 times.
Many appreciate the actions taken by ESIC. The reason is, cheating in games, especially in a tournament, is a dirty act that only destroys the essence of playing the game. The fun and excitement of playing the game fairly has been tarnished by having a player or coach caught cheating.
Cheating on CS:GO
Before the case of 37 trainers who were banned by ESIC for being caught cheating in the CS:GO game emerged, there were many other frauds that occurred. Since the last few years, CS:GO has often been enlivened by these dirty acts.
In early September 2021, for example, as the organizer of the world’s largest CS:GO tournament, ESL sanctioned three coaches who were found to have cheated. The three coaches were proven to have cheated in several previous CS:GO matches.
The three trainers who were proven to be cheating were Hunden from the Heroic team, Dead from the MIBR team, and MechanoGun from the Hard Legion. The three trainers were proven to have cheated by taking advantage of a bug in CS:GO. By exploiting a bug in CS:GO, the trainer can see where the enemy is like normal spectators when playing in the tournament. This is certainly detrimental to other players who play CS:GO as usual.
Hunden from the Heroic team has cheated in the DreamHack Masters Spring tournament, 10 rounds on 1 map. Dead from MIBR, cheated in the ESL One Road to Rio tournament, 1 Round on 1 map. Meanwhile, MechanoGun from Hard Legion cheated in the ESL One Road to Rio tournament, 6 Maps in three matches.
Because of the fraud, ESL acted decisively by sanctioning the three coaches and the team. Hunden from Heroic is banned for 12 months and is not allowed to become a coach or player in CS:GO tournaments. Dead from MIBR is banned from being a coach and also a player in CS:GO tournaments for 6 months.
Meanwhile, MechanoGun from Hard Legion, was given a ban in the form of a 24 month ban and was not given permission to become a coach or player in the CS:GO tournament. Not only that, each team from the three coaches was also disqualified from each tournament that was followed when committing the fraud. The three teams also did not get points from the ESL Pro Tour.
Furthermore, the three teams that committed the fraud were required to release the prize money they had earned. The sanctions given have been adjusted to the level of cheating committed by each coach. MechanoGun gets a long ban because the cheating he made is also quite heavy.
Not only in terms of the coach, the team he led was also affected by the fraud he did. Cheating in a game has happened many times. The number of mod applications that are full of cheats often disturbs players and also the official game developers. The fun of playing games has been tainted by fraudulent actions by irresponsible parties.
