de Blob, 3D Game on PS4 and Xbox One Coming Soon

Taking place in Vienna, Austria, October 25, 2021; THQ Nordic is pleased to announce that de Blob is coming to PS4 and Xbox One consoles on November 14, 2021, once again, the company is partnering with the best game developers at BlitWorks.

de Blob is a 3D platformer game where players maneuver their hero, de Blob. Players must acquire paint and throw Blobs at buildings, walls, statues, roads and the sky above Chroma City. When the Blob bounces, it will add color wherever it lands, but its paint supply will run low and it will start to dry out. If this happens, players must collect more paint and rehydrate in pools and in front of hydrants scattered throughout the city.

The evil INKT Corporation has declared that ‘Color is a Crime!’ and the exploitation of Chroma City in all its beauty and interest. The race to save Chroma City has just begun, and only Blob can save the world from a black-and-white future with his unique ability to color the world.

Gameplay and How to Play

Battle against massive tank battalions, INKT speed racers and elite Inky soldiers in your quest to free the citizens of Chroma City. Avoid hot plates, electric shocks and small towers to make your own way to the impenetrable INKT Fort. Remember that the fight to reclaim Chroma City must be fought on your terms.

Fill the city with your own images using paints, patterns and custom soundtracks. Make your Blob super-sized to attack bigger and stronger enemies. Join the color revolutionaries to perfect your skills while wreaking havoc. The race to save Chroma City has just begun, and only Blob can save the world from a black-and-white future.

When the game starts, access is limited to red, blue and yellow, but these can be mixed to create a number of other colors. Being able to create and apply these colors will be important as Chroma City and its inhabitants come to life, and Blob makes contact with various other characters known as the ‘Color Revolutionaries’ and receives an increasing number of missions assigning him a splash of color throughout the city. Success on this mission, players will earn points that propel the game forward, eventually leading to a direct attack on Comrade Black’s INKT Fort guarded by elite Inky soldiers and a massive ink tower.
