Boomerang Feature on WhatsApp Will Come, Similar to InstaStory!
Quoted from WA Beta Info, reportedly WhatsApp for Android and iOS will soon get the same Boomerang feature as the one on Instagram. If you are an Instagram user, then you should be aware of the Boomerang feature that will be coming soon to this WhatsApp short message platform.
According to recent reports, the Boomerang feature on WhatsApp is still in development and it may take a few more months for the Facebook-owned company to roll it out to users. The report also highlights that WhatsApp will allow its users to convert videos of less than seven seconds into Boomerang. On Instagram, there is a separate section where you can record your own Boomerang videos, but it looks like WhatsApp users will have to use the video section itself to create Boomerangs.
WhatsApp Boomerang Development Stage
The report also has a video that clearly shows how the Boomerang feature on WhatsApp will work when it’s official. To post a Boomerang, users must go to the Status section, then click the capture button and record a video of less than seven seconds. If the video is less than seven seconds, this latest WhatsApp feature will display a Boomerang option at the top right.
Currently, at the top right, you have two options – standard video and a GIF option. Once the Boomerang feature is launched, there will be another option to convert videos less than seven seconds into Boomerang. Additionally, the report highlights that the Boomerang feature will be available within private and group conversations as well.
As reported, this feature is still under development and WA Beta Info does not disclose any information regarding the availability of the Boomerang feature to WhatsApp Android and iOS users. If WhatsApp’s track record is anything to go by, we’ll probably see it officially out in the next few weeks for beta users from Android and iOS first.
