Four ways to remove applications on laptops and pc windows 10, 8 and 7 to the root / permanent
To be able to do some work on a PC or laptop, of course we have to download some of the applications we need such as Microsoft Office, Adobe, PDF Reader, IDM, Google Chrome, Line and others. In fact, we also download some other applications as entertainment or others such as games, music and video players.
Once, you have finished downloading the required applications, you must also install them on your PC in order to use them.
But, sometimes you don’t need a particular application and intend to delete it because if you leave it alone and don’t use it, it will only waste money storage and make your PC performance slow and heavy.
How to Delete Apps on Laptop/PC
In this article, I will explain 4 ways to delete applications on a PC or laptop through the Start Menu, Control Panel, Settings and applications. Let’s see the explanation below.
1. Removing Applications Through the Start Menu
The Start Menu is a feature of the Windows operating system that provides quick access to various programs, folders, and system settings. In Windows 10, you can click the Windows button in the lower-left corner of the taskbar on the PC screen or press the Windows key on the keyboard to open the Start Menu.
After you open the Start Menu, select the application to be uninstalled then right click and select Uninstall as indicated by the yellow arrow when installing LINE in the image below.
2. Removing Applications Through Control Panel
Control panel is a component of Microsoft Windows that contains facilities for viewing and managing system settings. To uninstall an application via Control Panel, you must first open Control Panel either via:
- Feature Search & Cortana
- Power User (key shortcut Windows + X -> Control Panel)
- Windows Run (shortcut Windows + R -> type Control Panel)
- Command Prompt (enter the command “Control Panel”)
- Windows PowerShell (enter the command “Control Panel”).
After the Control Panel opens, select Uninstall a Program marked with a red box.
Select the application to be uninstalled then right click and select option Uninstall. Wait and follow until the uninstall process is complete.
3. Removing Apps Via Settings
In addition to the two methods above, you can delete the application through the features Settings which is on Windows. First, you have to open the Settings window via:
- Start Menu -> Settings icon
- Search & Cortana Features
- Shortcuts Windows key + i on keyboard
- Power User (shortcut Windows key + X -> Settings)

- Windows PowerShell (enter command start ms-settings:).
On the window Settings, choose Apps.
Then select Apps & features.
On the window Apps & features, select and click the application to be uninstalled then select the button Uninstall. Wait and follow until the uninstall process is complete.
4. Removing Applications Through Revo Uninstaller (Up to the Root)
In addition to the three methods above, we can use an uninstaller application such as Revo Uninstaller. You need to know that when the application is only deleted in the three ways above, usually, registry application is still lagging. If left unchecked, it will continue to accumulate, it will cause system performance to slow down.
Well, then from that, we will use Revo Uninstaller (free application) which is able touninstall program until clean to the root!
First, you have to download this application first here. After Revo Uninstaller has been successfully downloaded, install the application on your PC or laptop. Once installed, open the application. Well, directly, you will be faced with a series of applications that are on your PC. To remove the application, there are several ways that you can do, namely:
1. Select the application to be deleted then click the Icon Uninstall in the menu marked with a red box in the image below.
2. Or select the application to be removed, right-click then select the Uninstall option.
3. Or you can select the application to be deleted, double click on the application.
Next, at the Scan Mode, choose Advanced so that Revo Uninstaller can work into the system better. Then select Scan.
Then the process window appears, wait until the process is complete.
Finally, Revo Uninstaller will search for files that are still left behind. You just need to check the found files to delete them. Then, select delete.
After the process is complete, if found again junk files from the application, check again and click the delete button. Once clean, the process will stop itself and return to the application’s initial window.
So the discussion this time about how to delete applications easily and quickly. Hopefully useful and good luck. Thank you!
