2 Ways to Lock Applications on Android Phones Without Hassle (100% Safe)

Lock apps on android phone, what’s the need? If you want to make sure that only you can open certain applications or restrict others from ‘peeking’ on the contents of your android phone, then locking the application is what you need to do.

Maybe you have experienced an incident where your friend idly opened a private application, such as whatsapp, BBM and the like. And worse, they read your chats without your knowledge.

Of course this makes us a little annoyed, especially what we read is our conversation with the doi. Therefore, through this article I will explain how to easily lock applications on Android.

How to Lock Apps on Android

In this tutorial I use the help of the LOCKit application. Before this article was published, I had tried several other popular locker applications such as DoMobile’s AppLock and PIN Genie Locker but the results were not satisfactory.

AppLock is not working properly on my android phone. For example, I have locked the whatsapp application, but when I open the application, my whatsapp application immediately opens without the need to enter the pattern / PIN that I set earlier. For PIN Genie Locker, the settings are quite complicated.

Therefore, my choice fell on LOCKit because the setup is quite easy and the application works very well. Immediately, here’s how to lock apps on android using LOCKit:

1. Install the LOCKit Application

1. First of all you have to install the application through the playstore, you can go through the following link or just type “lockit” in the Google Playstore search field. After that, install the application as usual by clicking Install.

2. After the download and installation of the application is complete, open the LOCKit application.

3. At the initial screen of this application, you are asked to specify the pattern lock or PIN you want. In this example, I use a pattern (pattern). However, if you want to use a PIN (password in the form of numbers), please select Switch to PIN. Enter the pattern / PIN 2X yes to confirm.

5. Next we are asked to determine the security question (security question). So when you forget the pattern used to unlock the locked app, you can use this security question to reset your pattern. Although this is only optional (you can omit it by selecting Ignore) but I still advise you to specify a security question. If so, select DONE.
