2 Ways to Convert WORD to PDF Without Application (100% Work)
The most popular document file formats are PDF and docx (word format). You will see these two document formats often, especially for those of you who are still in school/college.
In the past I was often told by my teacher to do school assignments via word which then had to be sent to my teacher’s email. Not infrequently he also asked us to collect the assignments given in PDF form (although rarely).
When typing, editing and adding pictures and the like, people mostly do it through office word. Well, if the submitted assignments must be in PDF form, they simply convert it to PDF. The question is, how to convert Word to PDF?
How to Convert Word to PDF Without Hassle
For how to convert word to PDF is actually very easy, we don’t even need to use special software to do it. You can convert it directly through office word.
Even so, in the following article I will explain 2 ways to convert Word to PDF, the first through office word itself and the second using online tools.
1. Convert Directly from Office Word
This first method of converting word to PDF can only be used for Office Word versions 2007 and above. I don’t think people use 2003 because it’s very old. Currently, the 2021 version has been released, but the ones that are quite popular are the 2007, 2010 and 2021 versions.
Especially for Office Word 2007 users (the 2007 version and above don’t have to), first you have to install Microsoft Save as PDF or XPS add-in what you can download here. If it has been downloaded and installed, see the next steps below:
- Click tab File or the microsoft office logo (for office 2007 users) located on the top left.
- Next select Save As.
- Select the file location you want. In column Filename, give a name to your PDF file. And don’t forget, in the column Save as type, choose PDF (not others). Check option Open file after publishing if you want the file to automatically open after it’s converted to PDF (unchecked is fine too). Next select Save. Wait a few minutes for the converting process (the larger the file size, the longer).
- As you can see in the image below, my word file has been successfully converted to PDF.
2. Convert Word to PDF with Online Tools
Actually, the above method includes the most simple and practical way, just through the word application itself. Even so, there is another way that is also slightly simpler but requires an internet connection, namely using online tools. Read more below:
- Visit the following link.
- Click button Select WORD file to upload the word file you want to convert to PDF.
- After that, click the button CONVERT TO PDF.
- Wait for the converting process to complete. The length of time depends on the size of your word file.
- The converted word to PDF file will be downloaded automatically. If it hasn’t been downloaded automatically, you can re-download it by clicking the button Download PDF.
I personally use the first method more often because it is simpler and more practical. Even so, you have the right to use the method you like, whether it’s the first or second method.
Oh yes, also make sure you read my other article (still related to PDF) which is about how to compress a PDF file so that the size is not too big.
