Tips and Tricks to Play Pokemon Masters

Pokemon Masters is a 3 on 3 fighting game in a tournament called the Pokemon Masters League. Here you have to form a team of three Trainers and a Pokemon to target your opponent’s weaknesses and deal massive damage.

The game itself is quite complex, so there’s a lot to take into account and a lot to focus on while playing. The following tips and tricks will help you play Pokemon Masters.

How Sync Pair works

Pokemon Masters has the Sync Pairs feature which is basically his trainer and pokemon. Each Sync Pair has a variety of roles, namely attack, support, and tech.

Each Sync Pairs has a certain element, and each element follows the rock, paper, scissors rule, meaning that it is strong against one element and weak against other elements. So, your goal in battle is only to form a team that has strong elements against the enemy.

Each pair has a certain number of stars associated with it, the higher the number of stars, the more levels they can climb. However, even Pair Sync with 3 stars can be expanded to 5 stars, so you can turn your favorite pokemon to be more powerful, no matter how many stars they have at the start.

As explained above, each Sync Pair has a role: Attack, Support, and Tech, as follows:

Attacks: This is an attacking team. They usually have high attack power, but have low health points.
Supports: This is a healing team that can heal or boost other Pokemon skills. They have higher HP than the Strike team, but do little damage.
Tech: This team usually focuses on combat and applies various harmful effects to the enemy.

Currently the maximum level for Sync Pairs in Pokemon Masters is 100. To reach level 100, you need a Sync team with 5 stars.

Build a strong team

Having a balanced team is best. This means that you should try at least two different elements, and always have the recommended one, strong against the type of enemy you are facing.

Practice your Sync Pair for more than just leveling up

Simply leveling up your Sync Pairs won’t help them maximize their potential and become useful, although this is the main thing you should focus on.

Apart from leveling up, you should increase the overall strength of your Sync Pair by unlocking new abilities/moves. You will need Training Machines of various rarities, as well as Aid Ade bottles, if you use them early in the game it will be easier.

It’s hard to do that early in the game, but you have to stay focused on the elements that are needed. Initial Pokemon elements that you will get when you start the game: Electric (list, Water, Grass, and Rock. Then, as you go through the next stage, move to Flying and Fire.

Get free diamonds

The easiest way for you to get free diamonds is to explore Sync Pair Stories from the Explore menu. You just need to go through the story and provide some answers, but it’s pretty quick and easy to do.

You should also do your best to run Training Missions because you can get rewards that can help you in the game.

Some of the missions from these Training Missions can be completed in a limited number of times per day, but you should stay focused on doing this first each day before doing anything else to develop all your Pairs quickly.

Auto is better than doing nothing at all

Pokemon Masters presents a feature that offers you the option to activate the “Auto” mode and explore missions and stories more quickly.

While this Auto mode is limited and will never match the player’s abilities, it’s still a good choice if you already have skills in combat.

Even in Auto mode, you can still tap and choose answers, start new missions and so on, but for the most part you don’t have to do anything.

So, whenever you have the opportunity, take advantage of the Auto feature to grow faster (especially if you’re busy in the real world). However, when you get to complicated things and meet more dangerous opponents, don’t expect too much from this Auto mode.

Evolve your Pokemon

Some Pokemon can evolve and get better over time. Your Pokemon are quite expensive and you are unlikely to evolve all of them or at least anytime soon.

So, focus on Pokemon that you use frequently in battle or have high stars to evolve.

How to win the battle

It’s quite easy to gain an advantage in battle and you just need to pay attention to a few important things, namely:

Use the correct type of Pokemon in battle, pay attention to the type of elements you’re dealing with, and make sure to choose Pokemon that are strong against the enemy’s elements.
Whenever you start a battle using your highest level Sync Pair, you should focus on destroying enemies one by one, this is the best option because enemies with 1% HP remaining can still deal a lot of damage, but the dead will be completely out of battle.
When you’re trying to get rid of Pokemon in battle, if some have significantly higher HP than others, then it’s better to focus on the easier targets first and leave the harder ones afloat.
Know what the skills of your Pokemon and Trainers are. Know all the skills of your team members and use them at the right time, on the right enemy. Remember that there are 3 types of ultimate attacks that you can use and choose the really powerful ones.
While you’re in battle, don’t forget to tap on the settings icon in the top left corner, where you can enable or disable some important features such as Action Order (shows a list of all actions), controlling battle speed, and more.

Additional tips you need to consider when playing Pokemon Masters:

Log into the game every day to get rewards. The rewards that are offered to players every day are very useful in the game, so even if you don’t play this game, you can at least spend a little time logging into the game to claim the rewards.
The five-star Sync Pairs you unlock – the Rosa / Snivy Pairs are excellent pairs that you’ll want to use over and over again, so spending a lot of resources on them will make them better and not wasted.
If possible, use 3000 diamonds and do 10x Sync Pair Scout.
Check missions (especially daily missions) for lots of rewards, although sometimes the rewards don’t match the missions you complete.
After you have an event in the game, you can focus on completing it to get rewards.
