Telkom & Transvision Presents Digital TV for Freeport Indonesia

In order to support the digitization process in the mining industry, Executive Vice President of the Enterprise Service Division of PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) Mohammad Salsabil, President Director of PT Freeport Indonesia Tony Wenas, and President Director of Transvision Peter F. Gontha signed the Inauguration of the Cooperation Provision of Digital TV Services at Freeport Indonesia, witnessed by the Director of Enterprise & Business Service Telkom Edi Witjara along with the management of Freeport and Transvision. hybrid at Menara Mega Syariah and through digital conferencing platform on Monday (6/9). The scope of the cooperation is the provision of digital TV services in the Timika area through SMATV HD (Satellite Master Antenna Television High Definition) services with premium quality.

Director of Enterprise & Business Service Telkom Edi Witjara in his speech expressed his gratitude for Freeport Indonesia’s trust in Telkom and Transvision to synergize, work together in a business that is in line with what Telkom is doing to continue to transform into a digital telco increasingly competent.

“In carrying out this transformation, Telkom is customer-oriented (customer-oriented), and have a vision to be digital telco the main choice for advancing society through three main elements that are the focus of business, namely digital connectivity, digital platforms, and digital service which of course has been supported by four technologies with the largest capacity in Indonesia, namely: fiber optic, a submarine cable four times the length of the earth, satellite, as well as data center, said Eddie.

Furthermore, Edi added, through infrastructure, platforms, as well as the digital services that Telkom has, we are committed and ready to support Freeport Indonesia’s business steps in the future through end-to-end solutions especially in increasing the effectiveness and progress of each party’s business.

Freeport Indonesia President Director Tony Wenas expressed his appreciation to Telkom and Transvision for their collaboration in providing quality Digital TV services very high definition. “With this service, we can maximally provide facilities to Freeport employees who are assets main companies located far away in remote areas in Indonesia. In the future, hopefully this cooperation can continue and bring great benefits to both parties,” said Tony.

On the same occasion, President Director of Transvision Peter F. Gontha also said that entering a new era of the entertainment media industry, collaboration is a form of innovation that companies need to continue to grow and meet customer needs. “We hope that this collaboration between Transvision and Telkom will be the first step to be able to contribute to the big family of PT Freeport Indonesia through the best and quality shows and become one stop solution service to PT Freeport Indonesia,” he said.
