Relentless, Sony Finally Opens Cross-Play Feature For PS4
Started first for Fortnite.
The long-awaited news has finally arrived! After persistently defending the principle, Sony finally gave in. Through the PlayStation blog, Sony has finally officially announced the Cross-Play feature for the PlayStation 4. That means PlayStation 4 owners can compete with other console owners. This feature has been unlocked as of today, starting with a beta test trial for Fortnite, where PS4 players can compete against Fortnite players from other consoles such as Xbox One, PC, Mac, Switch and mobile.
In the same statement, Sony will also add several other titles that can use this Cross-Play feature. Great move Sony!
