Held for the first time in 2011, IDBYTE as the biggest technology event in Indonesia will be held again. What is different, this year the event held by BUBU.com carries the theme of esports. Indonesia is now ranked 16th in the world. as the country that has the highest income from this industry, which is 880 million USD. In addition, currently there are 43.7 million gamers in Indonesia whose number is predicted to continue to grow. PUBG mobile itself is one of the biggest contributors to the industry in the country.

At the same place and time, BUBU will also hold the BUBU Esports Tournament, or abbreviated as BEST Carrying the tagline Gaming for Change, this tournament is a collaboration with Tencent Games and is supported by IESPA, the Creative Economy Agency (BEKRAF), the Ministry of Communication and Information (KEMKOMINFO), and the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KEMENPORA). The large number of communities and the popularity of this game are one of the reasons for choosing PUBG as the game to be competed.

This event will be held on September 13-14 2021 at ICE (Indonesia Convention and Exhibition) BSD and will be attended by Kevin Lin, COO & Co-Founder of Twitch, Allan Phang, Head of Esports Airasia, Shigenori Araki, Head of Esports Capcom, Alodia Gosiengfiao, and other speakers. Interestingly, the prizes offered are quite large with a total of Rp. 750 million. The prizes are divided into two categories for the men’s and women’s teams, with the same amount of around Rp. 290 million each.
