Overwatch is rumored to be a free-to-play game this year

Game fans this week Overwatch surprised by a rumor where the game shooter artificial Blizzard this will be a game free to play aka free this year. Rumors that Overwatch will become a free game this year are predictions from a Wedbush Securities analyst named Michael Pachter.
In his interview with gameindustry.biz, Pachter gave his predictions for the video game industry in 2021, and one of them is Overwatch. Pachter gave his prediction that Overwatch will turn their business into a free to play game this year and it will likely happen around mid-June where Overwatch will be 3 years old from its launch.
Pachter reasoned that if Overwatch became a free game, it could attract new players and of course it would make the Overwatch community even more crowded. This change can also increase the number of viewers Overwatch League (Overwatch’s official tournament) more and more. So Overwatch is increasingly recognized by the audience of gamers around the world.
It should be remembered, this is a prediction which of course is not certain to happen. As of this writing, there has been no official statement from Blizzard regarding Michael Pachter’s prediction.
