Capcom Announces Monster Hunter Riders For Mobile Platform

With success Monster Hunter World and the expansion Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, it seems that Capcom is increasingly eager to expand the franchise Monster Hunter. A few days ago Capcom announced a new spin-off series with the title Monster Hunter Riders, for iOS and Android platforms. With the concept of Free to Play, Monster Hunter Riders will have a micro-transaction system for items. It is planned to be released at the end of 2021 for the former Japanese region.

With a synopsis of the story on a continent called Felgia, humans and monsters have lived together in harmony for hundreds of years. But an evil force will try to make the monsters revolt and fight the humans.

In Monster Hunter Riders Our character will have a “pet” of iconic monsters, and is the leader of the in-game Riders Guild. You lead the members of the riders and monsters, to investigate the mysterious problems that occurred in Felgia.

Rathalos, Zinogre, Nargacuga, Glavenus and the popular monsters from the series Monster Hunter will appear one by one through content updates after the game is released. The gameplay will feature a battle system by giving commands to issue skills with lively effects. And we can change the party content by combining riders with unlimited monsters.

Capcom has also launched a website Monster Hunter Riders, contains the announcement trailer video as above, and information about pre-registration via the App Store, Google Play, Twitter and LINE region Japan. There is also information on bonus items for pre-registers that will be received when the game is released later.

For now, there is no information on whether Monster Hunter Riders will be released for the western region and internationally. But considering the success Monster Hunter World and as mobile game players grow every year around the world, there is always a possibility for future releases. Like other Japanese mobile games, of course there will be collaboration events between games or with other products.
