Atlus Reveals Persona 5 Leaks: The Royal
Since its release in 2021, Persona 5 sold over 2.7 copies. This figure is of course an achievement in itself for Atlus. As a form of thanks and appreciation to fans, Atlus launched the Persona 5R teaser (Persona 5: The Royal) which had made fans curious. Now, Atlus has also revealed complete information for Persona 5: The Royal during the Persona 5 concert held in Japan, April 24, 2021.
At the event, Atlus announced that this latest version is the version enhance or increase from Persona 5. In this latest version, it is certain that there will be the appearance of a new female character named Kasumi Yoshizawa. Reported from the official page p5r.jp, Kasumi Yoshizawa is a beautiful girl who just entered Shuichi Gakuen’s school in the same year as the previous protagonist. This girl character is also proficient in the field of gymnastics. In addition to Kasumi Yoshizawa, another new character is Takuto Maruki, a consultant and advisor to an apprentice at the school. Not only that, Atlus also promised to announce new characters again on May 5, 2021.
In addition to new characters and gameplay improvements, Persona 5: The Royal will also offer new songs and a new location called Kichijoji. In terms of graphics, this latest version already has 4K feature support on the PlayStation 4 Pro.
Persona 5: The Royal will be released on October 31, 2021 for the Japanese region. As for other countries, it will only be released in 2021.
