Apex Legends Season 8: Mayhem

Apex Legends Season 8: Mayhem will start in 1 week, presenting the first map of Kings Canyon which has been destroyed. This destruction was caused by Fuse’s newest legendary friend named Maggie.

With this the Kings Canyon map has been changed for the second time, resulting in several new locations to become battlefields for Respawn Entertainment’s Battle Royale game. They wanted the new Kings Canyon to have lots of interesting areas for players to dive in, and a fairer and wider selection of loot.

Crash Site

The plane that Fuse came from had crashed and became a new battlefield, located in the northern part of Kings Canyon, affecting several areas around it.

The Artillery’s main building is destroyed, having a pathway to the Crash Site. Likewise in the hallway on the left to Watchtower North.

Spotted Lakes

The Slum Lakes area has been devastated by the flood, and a new facility is being built with lots of ziplines available to come and go.

And also the Pit area becomes more open, has a tall tower and a zipline to reach the location of the plane crash quickly.

The small residential area between The Cage and Capacitor that often becomes a battlefield from various directions has been revamped as well.

New Feature: Explosive Holds

Starting from Season 8 around Kings Canyon there will be a mobile armory called Explosive Holds. Inside there are loot weapons, ammo and hop ups. To open each of these Explosive Holds, you have to throw a grenade into the center of the door.

New Weapon: 30-30 Repeaters

In addition to the new Kings Canyon, finally in Season 8 we will get 1 new weapon, 30-30 Repeaters. This sniper type weapon is similar to the G7 Scout, but fires Heavy Ammo and has a charged shot option.

New Hop Up: Gold Extended Magazine

After 2 years running, finally in the 3rd year Apex Legends will introduce a gold color extended magazine. The amount of ammo given is the same as the purple version, but has an additional perk, namely auto reloading weapons that are not being used. This can change war tactics, especially in the final round where you will fight and change weapons quickly.

In addition, as is the tradition of each season, there will be a Season 8 Battle Pass that provides legend skins and weapons, and other special cosmetic items.

Apex Legends currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Origin and Steam for free. Apex Legends can also be played in crossplay between platforms. Season 8: Mayhem will release on February 2, 2021.
