WB Games Montreal Codes Gotham Knights Release Schedule
GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – Entering 2021, one of the games worth waiting for especially DC Comics fans is Gotham Knights. After being announced in August 2021, developer WB Games Montreal has been more silent about the game’s release date. Recently, through his post on his official Twitter account @GothamKnights, WB Games Montreal threw in the code regarding the game’s release date.
Gotham Knights will take place in the Batman Universe, although it is not a further canon of the Arkham trilogy that ended with Batman: Arkham Knight. Gotham Knights won’t even be starring in Batman at all, where time will take place after the Dark Knight’s death (just like Arkham Knight’s final plot where Batman died), and the safety of Gotham City is now in the hands of four of Batman’s protégés: Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin.
Players can play the game either solo or via online co-op, and can choose between four heroes. Gotham Knights will invite players to uncover many crime plots and unravel the mysteries surrounding the secret group, the Court of Owls.
Officially, WB Games Montreal only announced that Gotham Knights will be released in 2021. However, a recent post from the official Gotham Knights Twitter account may provide a code for the release date of the game. The post shows a poster of The Flying Graysons, with an air date of July 16-21. The Flying Graysons itself is the name of the show group of Dick Grayson (Nightwing) and his parents, before the tragic death of his parents. The date on the poster has fans speculating the release date of Gotham Knights could be July 16, 2021.
With no official confirmation from WB Games Montreal, the date on the poster in the Gotham Knights tweet is still speculative. Even so, following what Rocksteady did when announcing Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, fans might hope. At the time, Rocksteady tweeted an image of Superman with a crosshairs logo that read “Suicide Squad.” The teaser comes ahead of the DC FanDome event that officially announced Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, with a trailer.
However, with the COVID-19 pandemic still not abating, which has disrupted many game and film release schedules, it is possible that WB Games Montreal has not dared to confirm a tentative release date for Gotham Knights. Let’s wait for the official release date of Gotham Knights, which is planned to be released in multi-platform for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
