This is the best-selling hero in the Mythic rank match Mobile Legends (ML), but this hero is not seen in the tournament. Who is it and how come?

That hero is Guinevere! He is a Mobile Legends (ML) fighter hero with magical damage. Usually this hero is used in sidelane like other fighters in general.

Why Guinevere Sells So Much in Rank Match?

1. Hero Core No Longer Uses Spell Purify

Through a survey we did on IG @spin_esports, this is the main reason. Core or jungle players in meta are now required to use the retribution spell if they want to use jungle items.

Meanwhile, Guinevere’s 2 + ultimate skill combo can lock the opponent’s hero core so that they will be caught more easily.

2. Is a hero that is quite easy to use

Guinevere is a hero with easy-to-understand skills and high lifesteal. Many like this hero because it doesn’t have to be difficult to go back and forth between bases and also doesn’t get bored easily to use.

3. Can Burst Hero Against One Combo

In terms of damage, this hero is quite sick even though he doesn’t have many items, usually assisted with the Execute spell. Once the skill 2 + ultimate combo, most assassin/MM/mage heroes can die immediately.

And this combo can also be hit by more than 1 hero so that if you combine it with Atlas, Khufra, or Tigreal, you can immediately eliminate the opposing team.

Why Doesn’t Guinevere Sell in the Tournament?

1. Less Durability than Hero Meta Sidelane

This answer came directly from ONIC.Butsss (player sidelaner ONIC Esports) when asked directly by SPIN. The current sidelane meta fighter heroes are Yu Zhong, Esmeralda, and Barats where Guinevere will find it difficult to win 1 vs 1 against the above heroes.

Then EVOS. Pica who is a sidelaner from EVOS ML Ladies who just won the Woman Star League (WSL) also voiced his opinion. Compared to the three heroes above, Guinevere is less tanky so she can’t be the second tank hero for the team.

While the other sidelaner hero is usually now filled by MM or Mage so that the fighter heroes picked in the offlane are usually required to have high durability.

2. Relying Too Much on Skill Combos

One extra point from Buts. Guinevere is arguably a hero who needs moments. It’s true that when all of his combo skills are hit, he can pick up and kill 1-2 opposing heroes in an instant.

But when the skill misses, Guinevere will be useless for a while until the skill cooldown again. And when the opponent’s level is at the level of a pro player, usually the mechanics and teamwork of the opponent are already high so it will be quite difficult for Guinevere’s combo skill to be hit frequently.

Is it possible that Guinevere can become a Meta hero in the Pro Tournament?

According to SPIN Esports the answer is Yes. The three main sidelaner heroes such as Yu Zhong, Esmeralda, and Barats seem to be getting further nerfed by Moonton. When that happens, the possibility of Guinevere’s pick becomes higher as an alternative to fill the sidelane position.

Then if AOE stun heroes (such as Atlas, Tigreal, Gatotkaca and Khufra) return to Meta, maybe Guinevere can join Meta because it will be easier to do a wombo combo with Guinevere.

Hopefully the best-selling hero in this Legend & Mythic rank can enter the professional Meta of the Mobile Legends (ML) tournament. So that the heroes that can be chosen are more diverse and we as spectators don’t get bored with that pick.
