There's Mario vs Luigi in the Latest Mario Kart Tour Event
GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – If all this time Mario and Luigi were known as twin brothers who helped each other to thwart Bowser’s plans, the two brothers will now be elbowing each other in the race arena. Mario vs. Luigi Tour is an event of the Mario Kart Tour racing mobile game which will take place from 18 November 2021 to 12 December 2021.
Unlike the previous tours, Mario vs. Luigi will now “split” all the drivers into two teams. At the beginning of this tour, gamers are required to choose whether to be Mario’s team or Luigi’s team. This option cannot be changed during the event.
Some of the characters in Mario’s team include Peach, Toad, Donkey Kong, Wario, Pauline, Shy Guy, and King Bob-omb. While the characters who are part of Luigi include Yoshi, Daisy, Rosalina, Waluigi, King Boo, and Bowser.
When participating in a race, in addition to requiring players to score the highest score in each race, players also need to collect as many team tokens (Mario or Luigi, according to the team’s choice) to determine the winning team at the end of the event. If during the race the player uses a racer from another team, then the player cannot collect team tokens.
The winning team will receive a badge, 15 rubies and 3,000 coins. While the losing team will only get 10 rubies and 1,500 coins. Team tokens can also be redeemed in the Token Shop for a range of drivers, karts, gliders and tickets. The Token Shop will be open during the event and will be closed on December 2, 2021 at 13:00 WIB.
Just like the previous event, there are bonus spotlights that can be accessed via pipe launch at random. In the first week, bonus spotlights for drivers are Builder Mario, Builder Luigi, for the Snow Skimmer kart, Dozer Dasher, and for the Rainbow Starchute glider, the Safety Glider. Bonus spotlights starting on the second week, November 25 for drivers are Waluigi (Bus Driver), Wario (Cowboy), Kart Platinum Taxi, Red Taxi, while glider Cloud Glider, Bullet Bill Parachute. Mario vs. Luigi Tour will also provide four pipe launches for free which can be obtained by collecting stars from the 12 cups available.
