The Dota 2 team from the Philippines is confirmed to appear at The International 2021

The Philippines-based Dota 2 team, TNC Predator, managed to secure a place to compete in this year’s grand MOBA game event, The International 2021 (TI9).

The success achieved by TNC Predator was obtained after they successfully won over a team from China, Royal Never Give Up (RNG Royal), in the upper bracket of Epicenter 2021 in Moscow, Russia.

This victory made TNC Predator successfully increase their Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) points to 1,596 to take them to sit in ninth position and qualify for TI9.

In the match against RNG Royale, TNC Predator won thanks to a slick game from the hero Sven played by Kim “Gabbi” Villafuerte in the first game thanks to the help of Armel “Armel” Paul Tabios who used Ember Spirit.

While in game two, RNG Royal managed to take the victory by relying on the heroes Omiknight, Warlock, and Leshrac who focused on push. In fact, TNC Predator got more kills via Batrider, Lina, and Oracle.

It was only in the third game that TNC Predator managed to secure victory in a best of three (BO3) format match with a great Area of Effect setting using the heroes Kunkka, Enigma, and Juggernaut in just 17 minutes.

The International 2021 will be held at the Mercedes-Benz Arena, Shanghai, China, on 20-25 August with a total prize pool of USD 19.6 million or around IDR 278 billion from their crowdfunding mechanism!
