Supporting Local Game Developers, Kemkominfo Holds IDGX Again

GAMEFINITY.ID, Singkawang – The Ministry of Communication and Information (Kemkominfo) of the Republic of Indonesia held an event for game developers in Indonesia.

The event, which was held by the Ministry of Communication and Information together with the Indonesian Game Association (AGI) called the Indonesia Game Developer Exchange (IGDX), aims to encourage the game industry in Indonesia.

We will work with the ecosystem so that Indonesian games grow, “said Director General of Informatics Applications, Kominfo, Semuel Abrijani Pangerapan in his press some time ago.

IDGX was first held in 2021, but due to pandemic problems IDGX was not held in 2021.

The IDGX event is known as a meeting and training venue by experienced mentors in the game industry from within and outside the country.

At this event, the Ministry of Communication and Information plans to hold IDGX 2021 on August 2, 2021. Later, there will be three programs that will fill the IDGX event, namely IGDX Academy, IGDX Business and IGDX Conference.

As the name implies, IDGX Academy contains training from experienced mentors in the gaming industry for a long time.

Cipto Adiguno as President of the Indonesian Game Association emphasized that this training will be carried out intensively for beginners and intermediate levels with the aim of developing their abilities and being able to compete with international games.

The Ministry of Communication and Information noted that the 2021 IDGX event participants were dominated by professionals (66.1 percent), then followed by students as much as 16.1 percent. They hope that this year’s IDGX will run smoothly with more participants than the previous IDGX and can bring changes to the game industry in Indonesia.
