Steam Records Up to 50 Percent Increase in Playtime in 2021

This is experienced by the Steam platform, which has just revealed its user data report for 2021. Valve has just announced the growth of the gaming industry based on the Steam 2021 Year in Review report.

Based on this data, gamers on PC experienced an increase in playing time of up to 50.7 percent last year, when compared to playing time in 2021. Still from the same data, Valve also revealed that every month there are 2.6 million people who buy new games on Steam throughout 2021.

During 2021, there are approximately 120 million active Steam players per month. If calculated on a daily basis, then there are around 62.6 million gamers who play games on Steam every day. Not only about the number of active players, Steam also benefits from selling games on its stall.

The data shows that game sales on Steam rose by 21.4 percent when compared to 2021. In addition, Steam data also shows the highest number of players playing at the same time as 24.8 million players.

In addition to showing Steam performance data, last year, Valve also revealed their plans to run in 2021. Currently, Valve is focusing on bringing Steam to a wider market, namely China by cooperating with Perfect World as a partner. Valve is also rumored to be developing a Steam mobile application to make it easier for players to make transactions and play games.
