Sponsored by Deddy Corbuzier Rp150 Million, Dewa Fan Faces Grand Master Irene Kharisma

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – The proof of the chess magic of Dadang Subur aka Dewa Fan will be tested by a female Grand Master from Indonesia, Irene Kharisma Sukandar. The match which is planned to be held on Monday (22/3/2021) will be sponsored by Deddy Corbuzier, where both chess players will get a total prize of Rp. 150 million.

“I personally prepared a total prize of Rp. 150 million. Lose win can. So that’s a clarification from Irene, she is ready, we will wait for Monday, who wins, who loses or who comes and who doesn’t,” said Deddy Corbuzier in a video uploaded to his Instagram account, Thursday (18/3/2021).

Dewa Kipas, the chess player who went viral thanks to his success in defeating the chess Youtuber GothamChess, first agreed with Deddy’s offer to compete against Irene. Meanwhile, Irene had to wait for permission from the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Percasi federation.

“The reason (for) refusing was not because of fear, but the manager has not received an answer from the agency because he is an athlete,” said Deddy.

Later, the match will take place with the concept of a friendly match. Deddy hopes that in the future whoever wins and loses, the name of chess will be raised again in the eyes of the Indonesian people.

Previously, there was a video circulating of Dadang’s statement or Dewa Fan claiming that he was hurt by Irene’s statement when he was invited to the Deddy Corbuzier podcast. Irene doubted the “magic” of the Fan God.

“This is not a warrior from the mountains down, really good, this is not a comic. I myself to be a grandmaster, it took nine years, there was training. With the graphics of his game, he should be the world champion,” said Irene.

Dadang admitted that he was offended and was ready to solve problems on the chessboard.

“Mbak Irene said that Dewa Fan has embarrassed the Indonesian arena. The second, Mbak Irene said, no one is good at coming down from the mountain, suddenly good, this is not a comic. I’m hurt by that statement and want to finish it on the chessboard,” said Dadang.

The commotion about Dewa Fan itself began when Dadang Subur defeated Levy Rozman aka GothamChess in an online chess game on Chess.com which was broadcast on Twtich GothamChess, March 2, 2021. Levy said Dadang had cheated and reported Dewa Fan’s account to Chess.com.

The Dewa Fan account was finally blocked by Chess.com. Dadang’s son, Ali Akbar, poured his frustration on Facebook and led to Indonesian netizens flocking to attack GothamChess. In fact, Levy admitted that his own lover received death threats from Indonesian netizens.

As previously reported by Gamefinity, Chess.com’s Chief Chess Officer (COO) Daniel “Danny” Rensch has clarified that Dadang’s account was blocked not because of a report from Rozman. But because it is Dadang’s game which is considered unnatural or like a chess machine.

Both Irene and PB Indonesian Chess Association (PB Percasi) are also suspicious of the game’s graphics and the accuracy of Dewa_Kipas’ steps while playing at Chess.com. A number of irregularities, especially in the period from February 22 to March 2, 2021, where the Dewa_Kipas game graph is very stable at the top with an average percentage of step accuracy of 90 to 99 percent.
