Sony launches My Hero Academia mobile game in the RPG genre
Who is your favorite character?
The fifth season of the popular anime series “My Hero Academia” is underway and is still telling how the main character, Deku, goes through his hero training. As if that wasn’t enough to keep fans happy, Sony Pictures Television Games and Funimation have announced that they will be releasing a new My Hero Academia mobile game.
Titled “My Hero Academia: The Strongest Hero,” the game is an action-RPG in which players can build their own team of characters from anime series such as Shigaraki and Nomus to fight villains in story mode or against other players in PvP battles.
Given how large the lineup of characters in the My Hero Academia anime series is, the possibility of new playable characters appearing in the future is huge.
Players can also play with friends and work together in a co-op mode called Allied Assault. The mode has special additional content that is planned to be released every month.
In the announcement trailer video, we get a glimpse of some of the available heroes including; Deku, Bakugo, Uraraka, Iida, Todoroki, Froppy, and, of course, All Might. Other Class 1-A students will no doubt be featured as well, with Sony and Funimation even confirming the appearance of other pro heroes like Endeavor and even villains like Stain.
The game will be released late before the end of May in North America, Latin America, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Scandinavia. There is no confirmation when the game will enter the Southeast Asia region, but considering the massive My Hero Academia fans and the mobile game community in the region, it looks like we don’t have to wait long.
