Recruiting Potential Athletes, ESI Jakarta Will Conduct Roadshow
GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – Head of Esport Indonesia (ESI) DKI Jakarta Province, Major General (Retired) Neno Hamriono hopes to recruit potential athletes from the capital. This was conveyed by Neno at the inauguration of the ESI Jakarta management, Wednesday (16/12/2021) at the Shangri-La Hotel, Central Jakarta. This event was also attended virtually by representatives of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, KONI, and management from municipalities in the DKI Jakarta area.
“In DKI Jakarta, the clubs already exist but have not been accommodated by an organization. That’s why we are trying to accommodate it,” said Neno in a written statement.
As a first step, Neno said that his party would conduct a road show to visit esport clubs in Jakarta. Then he hopes to send a team for the National Sports Week (PON) next year.
“First, of course, the management and I will have roadshows to clubs to unite our vision in one platform, namely ESI DKI Jakarta. Then in the near short term we will try to take part in the 2021 PON exhibition in Papua,” he said.
In addition, Neno also plans to hold a provincial-scale tournament. This is done to hone the quality of the seeds of professional athletes. ESI Jakarta will try to hold a DKI-scale tournament starting from the high school, university, or general level so that later they can compete at a higher level.
