PUBG Mobile Prepares a Total Prize of IDR 198 Billion for the 2021 Global Championship Tournament

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – PUBG Mobile is preparing a new esports tournament with the largest prize pool in the history of mobile gaming for 2021. The world’s largest esports competition titled PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) will be the main event next year, with a total prize pool of USD 14 million or around IDR 198 billion.

This year’s PUBG Mobile has managed to break records for the number of spectators and the number of teams competing. No wonder if in the competition program next year PUBG Mobile will offer more players to join. In 2021, PUBG Mobile will also introduce seven PUBG MOBILE Pro League (PMPL) regional regions including CIS, Turkey, Western Europe, Arabia, North America, Latin America, and Brazil, to complement the current competition in South Asia and Southeast Asia.

“2021 will be a very special year for us, but this is just the beginning. We still have big ambitions to become the biggest esports game, we also show a big increase in total prizes and add to the total regional representation which we expect to increase in 2021,” said PUBG MOBILE Global Esports Director, James Yang.

The PUBG Mobile Esports Ecosystem was built in 2021 and in 2021 PMPL and PUBG Mobile Club Open (PMCO) have successfully supported all levels from amateurs, semi-pros to professionals in various countries and regions. PUBG Mobile esports has seen more than 100 million viewing hours in 2021 so far, more than a million viewers simultaneously watched PUBG Mobile World League (PMWL) last August.

More than 120,000 teams registered to compete for this year’s top prize of 5 million USD or around Rp. 70.7 billion. Next year, PUBG Mobile plans to build additional studios in a number of locations, with the first to be built in Katowice, Poland, in partnership with ESL.
