Patch 1.11 Valorant Finally Released, Cypher & Killjoy on Nerf All Out!

After being pushed back for a week, Patch 1.11 Valorant has finally been released!

Previously the patch was released on October 27, 2021, but due to many problems and the release schedule collided with the First Strike tournament in America, Riot Games decided to withdraw the patch.

On October 31, Riot announced that a 1.11 patch fix would be coming soon.

“It’s been a tiring week, but we have a stable patch to ship starting at 8am PT on Monday (2 Nov). America will be first, then we will launch to KR/JP/OCE/SEA and EU/TR/MENA/CIS region after. This shouldn’t interfere with our regular patch schedule, so expect a small one next week.”

In this patch, Valorant’s newest agent, Skye, can now be used and has a contract activated.

In addition, there are many changes that will occur to the agent defensive in the game, Cypher and Killjoy.

The reason is, the two agents will be completely nerfed and will even change their way of playing.

Nerf Cypher Patch 1.11

Patch 1.11 Valorant

Cypher, which is the agent most often used by casual and pro players, will experience a significant change in his skills.

Previously, if Cypher had installed a Spy Camera and Trap Wire in the middle of a match and was killed, the two items would still be active and useful.

But in this latest patch, if Cypher is killed, both skills will die as well, and cannot be used anymore.

Nerf Killjoy

Patch 1.11 Valorant

Killjoy who is also a defensive agent feared by the opponent will also receive a sizeable Nerf.

In this update, Alarmbot and Turret are now disabled if Killjoy is more than 40m away. However, if he returns to within 40m range, the item will reactivate.

Of course, this is a very significant nerf because previously the turret and Alarmbot Killjoy will always be active wherever Killjoy is located.

With the maximum distance, the opponent can now tell if Killjoy is on the same site or not.
