Mobile Legends national team coach: Udil doesn't exist because the roster can't have 8 players

The main roster of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Indonesia national team for the 2021 SEA Games in the Philippines has been selected. There are seven names that surfaced in the coach’s choice, Jeremy “Tibold” Yulianto.

The seven players were Oura, Donkey, Wannn, Rekt, Antimage, Drian, and Psychoo. These names are the mainstays of the current two giant MLBB teams, EVOS Esports and Onic Esports.

Even so, there was one mainstay of Onic’s name who had entered the top 12 national team players, but had to be eliminated at the final point selection. He is Udil Surbakti’s mainstay midlaner.

This also made netizens, especially Udil fans protest. Many have questioned why Udil was not chosen, especially since the only pure midlaner in the roster is Wannn.

ONE Esports directly contacted Tibold to find out why he did not call Udil. The former professional League of Legends player also admitted that he was sad that he could not choose Udil in the MLBB national team final squad.

“There is no justice because there can’t be eight players. So sad,” he told ONE Esports.

“This team is the best team according to the scoring criteria I’ve previously mentioned. The reasons they have been chosen must be many and will not be finished if all of them are disclosed,” he added.

“There are those who are chosen because they are versatile (can play in various roles), there are also those who enter because they are really good at their respective lanes. This is an almost perfect combination. It would be absolutely perfect if we could take eight players,” said Tibold.

Yes, in the end Tibold was also disappointed because they could only choose seven players for the roster. But what can I say, the squad has been chosen and they will be the ones fighting for gold in the Philippines.
