Let's Make Big Moves, the first S-Tier tournament for SSBU in 2021

The 2021 competitive season for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (SSBU) is about to begin, where Let’s Make Big Moves will be the first S-Tier tournament for players to compete for a spot on the Panda Global Rankings Ultimate (PGRU) list.

The SSBU tournaments that will be present in the 2021 season will be categorized into which tier based on the overall participant entries and how many of the top 50 players from the PGRU rankings are present at the event.

This means, as long as there are no main players absent from the tournament, the event will be upgraded to S-Tier as soon as possible after the final ranking of PGRU Season 2 comes out.

To date, there have been a total of 734 registrants who have classified the Let’s Make Big Moves tournament as an A-Tier event based on attendance only.

However, 15 of the other 50 top players are on their way to the host city, New York, USA, to compete in the Let’s Make Big Moves tournament to make it an S-Tier event.

Two of the world’s top three players, such as Gavin “Tweek” Dempsey and Tyler “Marss” Martins, have headlined the Let’s Make Big Moves tournament. But players like Ezra “Samsora” Morris, Nairoby “Nairo” Quezada, and Enrique “Maister” Solís will also be in attendance and increase the competition.

However, several other top players such as Leonardo “MKLeo” Lopez, reportedly will not attend. This will be an opportunity for other players to start the season with titles.

Based on the schedule on Liquipedia, Let’s Make Big Moves will be held today, Friday (3/1/2021) to Sunday (5/1/2021) New York time.
