How Strong is Zhongli Buff? Here’s the explanation!

The news of disappointment with Zhongli’s character, which is considered less strong, seems to have been heard by miHoYo as a developer. And soon after it was said that Zhongli would be Buffed.

At the beginning of the release, miHoYo had said that this character was plotted as support, not DPS like most people want.

But in the latest update, the Zhongli Buff news will make it Overpower.

There are four solutions prepared for Zhongli in the update that will be tested in the beta test 1.3.

The four solutions are Zhongli Talent Strengthening, skill and mechanism optimization, Geo element resonance mechanism strengthening, and Geo element shielding effect adjustment.

However miHoYo explained that this will not be the last. Everything is still being tested and all input from players is also considered.

For Zhongli

“Dominance of Earth” Passive Talent Adjustment

Previous effects:

Planet Befall deals additional DMG of 33% of Zhongli’s Max HP.

Effect after adjustment:

The DMG of the following Zhongli attacks increases based on his Max HP, namely:

There is an increase in DMG of Normal Attack, Charged Attack, and Plunging Attack: 1.39% of Max HP.

Stone DMG Increase/Dominus Lapidis Resonance: 1.9% of Max HP

Zhongli Buff 2 — source : Genshin Impact

There is an Increase in DMG Planet Befall: 33% of Max HP.

So in the update that is currently being tested not only Planet Befall but all damage from Zhongli is increased with the stats mentioned above.

Adjustment of the “Dominus Lapidis” button holding effect:

Previous effects:

Detonates all surrounding Geo elements, resulting in the following effects:

Creates a Jade Shield that can absorb DMG according to Zhongli’s Max HP. In addition, Jade Shield has a bonus 250% absorption effect against Geo elements;
Resulting in Geo DMG of the area;
If around the character there are enemies with Geo elements, then Zhongli can consume a large number of Geo elements, a maximum of 2 enemies. This effect does not result in DMG.

Effect after adjustment:

Detonates all surrounding Geo elements, resulting in the following effects:

If the number of Stone Steles formed has not reached the maximum limit, Stone Steles can be created;

Zhongli Buff 3 — source : Genshin Impact

Creates a Jade Shield that can absorb DMG according to Zhongli’s Max HP. In addition, the Jade Shield has a bonus 150% absorption effect against all Elemental DMG and Physical DMG;
Resulting in Geo DMG of the area;
If around the character there are enemies with Geo elements, then Zhongli can consume a large number of Geo elements, a maximum of 2 enemies. This effect does not result in DMG.

*After adjustment, the effect of character resistance to interruption increases when holding down the “Dominus Lapidis” button.

For Geo Elements

Geo Resonance Adjustment (Enduring Rock):

Previous effects:

Increase immunity to interference. When protected by a shield, increases 15% DMG.

Effect after adjustment:

Increases 15% Shield Power. In addition, the character currently in the shield’s protection will have the following characteristics: Increases 15% DMG; When a character deals DMG against an enemy, it will reduce the enemy’s Geo RES by 20%, lasts for 15 seconds.

Geo Shield Adjustment:

The original Geo Shield had a “shield defense effect 250% more effective against Geo DMG”, adjusted to “Shield Defense 150% more effective against all types of Elemental DMG and Physical DMG”.

Effects affected by this change include:

First the Geo Shield created by Elemental Skill Zhongli;
The two Geo Shields created by Noelle’s Elemental Skills;
The three Geo Shields created while retrieving the Elemental Shard from Geovishap Hatchling’s Crystallize effect.

This change is also good news for Geo because the Buff given makes the Geo element more tanker again but also has amazingly good damage.
