For the sake of playing online games, these 4 teenagers are desperate to become a gang of criminals

Recently, residents in Bintan Regency managed to catch 2 out of 4 teenagers who were trying to steal a motorbike.

AKBP Bambang Sugihartono as the Bintan Police Chief explained that the two teenagers with the initials A and H were arrested while trying to steal a black Yamaha Jupiter motorcycle with BP 4763 BH plate belonging to Mr. Winarto, a resident of Lembah Sari Village, Toapaya District.

“Both have been secured along with the motorbike they stole,“said AKBP Bambang Sugihartono.

Chronology of Events

This incident began when the 4 teenagers ran away from their school dormitory at around 23.40 WIB. Seeing a motorbike parked near the dormitory, they took the initiative to steal the motorbike with the aim of being used as transportation.

They tried to tinker with the motor and the result they managed to turn on the motor. They rode in 4 to escape, but this action was known by the residents, as a result they swayed and fell. 2 people were arrested while 2 others managed to escape.

“So A and H were first secured by the residents. Then it was handed over to the Gunungkijang Police Chief for coaching,” continued AKBP Bambang Sugihartono.

When interrogated by the police, they admitted that they were desperate to steal the motorbike to play online games.

The motorcycle owner chose not to take this case to court. However, it will be resolved with a family path in order to foster these children.

“They (the perpetrators) are still active in the pesantren. Then he was also a minor, so this case was resolved amicably. It is by mutual consent,“said AKBP Bambang Sugihartono.

The school, the perpetrator’s parents, the head of the local RT, and the owner of the victim have made a written agreement. The agreement contains a promise that the perpetrator will not repeat the immoral act.
