Meanwhile, in Japan, the PS5 price on the used goods platform Mercari Inc was sold for more than USD 900 or around Rp. 12.8 million. Demand for a PS5 that offers cutting-edge graphics, faster loading times, and a new DualSense controller with cutting-edge features, and exacerbated by the pandemic, has seen consumers flock to their game stores despite supply chains running short.

Analysts estimate that the shortage of stock game consoles from Sony and Microsoft, which recently launched Xbox Series X, will last until 2021.
