Epic Frees Tales of the Neon Sea in Early April

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – The next Epic Games Store free game has been announced. The detective adventure puzzle game, Tales of the Neon Sea, from developer Palm Pioneer and publisher Thermite Games, will be available for Epic users to download for free from April 1-8.

Tales of the Neon Sea will replace Creature in the Well, the hack-and-slash pinball-inspired game from developer Flight School Studio and publisher MWM Interactive. Creature in the Well is still free to download until April 1.

Epic claimed in January that the Epic Games Store has attracted more than 160 million PC users since its launch in December 2021. The company has been giving away free games every week since the market launched, including 103 games in 2021 which are collectively worth 2,407 USD in US prices or approx. IDR 34.7 million.

In total, Epic said the number of users claiming free games throughout 2021 reached more than 749 million downloads. Last week Epic outlined its vision for the future of social features on the Epic Games Store, including details about its party system.

“We want to turn the Epic Games Store into a place where you can connect with your friends across platforms, easily jump into parties with voice chat, and play games together without missing a beat,” he said, quoted by VGC.
