TSM Doublelift Announce Retirement From Pro Scene League of Legends.
Esports icon and bottom laner star Team SoloMid or better known as TSM, Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng has officially retired from the pro scene of League of Legends.
Doublelift surprised fans by announcing his retirement.
LCS star players walk out of Summoner’s Rift after more than a decade of playing at the game’s highest levels.
The 27-year-old said di his letter to fans, “I am about to start a new chapter in my life now”.
I want to be proud of myself and my hard work, not ashamed of my passion for gaming… I want to be a pro player who stands out out of tune, someone who speaks his mind and is “real”.
I am happy to know that I have allowed the fans to see me transparently for 10 years – all my strengths and weaknesses, successes and failures.

Doublelift retired at a bitter point in his career. Players recently returned to Worlds 2021, where TSM had the worst performance of a first-seeded team on record.
But it’s not all bad, Doublelift has won eight of the last 11 splits in the LCS, including four straight titles with Team Liquid. He has also entered Worlds every year for the last 5 years.

Doublelift is the second TSM player to retire this offseason. The first is the mid laner Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg.
At the time of Bjergsen’s retirement, Doublelift said he was considering going with a friend, and now it looks like he’s made the same decision.
Doublelift is undoubtedly one of the most successful players in North American history. His journey forward, however, had only just begun.
