Dota 2 Pro Player Dies of Cancer, Team Secret Condolences. Sad news came in the competitive realm of Dota 2, where one of the pro Dota 2 players reportedly died.

The player is one of the veterans of Dota 2 from CIS, namely Alexander ” Flow “Sazonov has passed away. Former FlyToMoon offlaner reportedly died of cancer as the cause of his death. He himself is only 25 years old.

Flow was diagnosed with cancer in January 2021 while on the Double Dimension team. However, he successfully underwent treatment and is reportedly in remission.

He battled the disease for two and a half years, bravely continuing to compete in esports tournaments during this period. Unfortunately, in September 2021, the cancer recurred and on September 30, Flow passed away.

Flow started his professional Dota 2 career in an offlane role on the Duza Gaming team alongside the likes of ARS-ART and GeneRaL before having a relatively successful career.

At its peak, Flow was a recognized offlaner in the CIS region playing for teams such as FlyToMoon, Vega Squadron, Elements Pro Gaming, and Double Dimension.

His best moment came at the end of his life on the FlyToMoon team where he won the LOOT.BET/DOTA tournament and ensured a 5th to 6th place finish in DreamLeague Season 12.

Many Dota 2 esports organizations expressed their condolences, such as Team Secret, FlyToMoon and also B8 Esports on my Twitter account. They expressed their condolences to the pro player who died. There are also other Dota 2 esports players and activists such as V1lat.

SPIN Esports also conveyed its condolences to the veteran Dota 2 player from CIS to his family and Flow fans.
