Dota 2 Players and Talents Criticize Valve for Letting the Dota 2 Ecosystem Die

Dota 2 Players and Talent Criticize Valve for Letting the Dota 2 Ecosystem Die. Currently, the Dota 2 esports ecosystem is not doing well due to Valve’s lack of influence.

In this time of the corona virus (Covid-19) pandemic, it seems that Valve doesn’t care about the Dota 2 esports ecosystem. This is evidenced by the absence of official tournaments from Valve.

Even clarity about the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021-2021 is still not there until now. Moreover, there is clarity about when The International 10 will be held, even though Valve competitors such as Riot Games can still hold Worlds 2021.

This has an impact on esports organizations that have a Dota 2 division, namely Reality Rift and also CR4ZY who had to disband their Dota 2 division due to the undeveloped Dota 2 esports ecosystem during the pandemic.

According to support from CR4ZY, namely David “MoonMeander” Tan, he thanked the organization for its dedication and pointing out the disruption of DPC due to Covid-19. In his tweet, he lamented Valve’s inability to host Dota 2 tournaments for the rest of 2021 on the North American scene despite receiving a large $120 million in Battle Pass.

He also pointed out the unclear future of the 2021-2021 DPC as Valve just mentioned in its statement in September that it is likely to resume in Jan-Feb 2021.

Maurice “KheZu” Gutmann also expressed his dissatisfaction with Valve over the lack of assistance to the Dota 2 scene, especially in North America where there is only one team sponsored now namely Evil Geniuses.
