Developer Genshin Impact Almost Killed!

It’s just that sometimes people are so annoyed that they can do things that are not, such as attempted murder of the developer. Yep, this incident actually happened to the developer of Genshin Impact, miHoYo.

On April 24, 2021, a man was arrested for the attempted murder of Liu Wei and Cai Haouyu, co-founders of miHoYo. Before being arrested, this man managed to get into the building carrying two knives. Fortunately there were no victims in this action.

The reason this man tried to kill the co-founder of miHoYo made him shake his head. How not, this man is actually annoyed with the update in the Honkai Impact 3rd game. This update contains costume content with a rabbit theme and some dance emotes, all regions get this content update except in the China region.

After this update was discovered by players in China, many expressed that the content provided was inappropriate or expressed their frustration that the content was not available in China. In the end, miHoYo withdrew the content update as well as gave an apology on Twitter.

It is not known for certain the reason why this man tried to kill the two co-founders of miHoYo. It is possible that this man was upset that the content was not in the China region or that he was upset that the content was inappropriate.

According to Baidu, this man was looking for an opportunity to come directly to the miHoYo building, armed himself with two 9cm long knives and then intended to kill Liu Wei and Cai Haouyu before he committed suicide.
