Defeating UDINUS, IPB University Successfully Tops the Student Warchief Championship

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – The holding of the inter-campus Mobile Legeds: Bang Bang (MLBB) tournament, the Student Warchief Championship (SWC) officially ended last Sunday (2/5). The tournament, which was conducted entirely online, finally ordained the Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) team as the first winner. Following in second place was the Dian Nuswantoro University (UDINUS) team which lost heavily in the grand final, and Gunadarma University in third place after losing to UDINUS.

The grand final on Sunday (2/5) was the culmination of all the SWC tournaments that had been going on since April 16. A total of 32 challenger campus teams and eight UNITY Student Warchief member campuses faced each other for the title of champion. In the end, the persistent and persistent UDINUS campus was able to continue to challenge the IPB team.

Throughout its journey at SWC, the UDINUS team continues to try to present a strong match against every opponent it encounters. Together with eight other campuses, UDINUS managed to enter the playoffs and had to work extra hard because they were included in the lower bracket team. Through the lower bracket round 1, UDINUS succeeded in locking the Ciputra University and UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta teams in round 2.

The hard work didn’t stop there, UDINUS was still confronted by other great teams. There was Tanjungpura University in the lower bracket round 3 and Gunadarma University in the lower bracket final. When facing Gunadarma University, UDINUS had lost one point at the beginning. Although in the end, they managed to turn things around and secure a grand final seat.

Up to the peak stage, the giant IPB team, which always dominates in every match, appeared solid. The IPB team did not give UDINUS an opportunity to steal points in every match session from the best-of-five system applied. Three heavy blows from IPB automatically stopped UDINUS’ journey to reach the highest rank of SWC.

Sholahudin Aditya Al Ayyubi or who is called Dital, as the representative of the IPB team in the interview session said that they were also grateful for the support received by his team from the major group stage to becoming the champion. Because many twists and turns have also been faced throughout the journey of the SWC tournament.
