GameSpot (7/10) – “Cyberpunk 2077 has standout side missions and a strong main character, although its buggy, shallow world, and lack of purpose bring it down.”
VG247 (5/5) – “With so much to see and do, Cyberpunk 2077 is the kind of RPG where you blink and suddenly hours go by. This is what it takes to close 2021.”
PCGamesN (9/10) – “Cyberpunk 2077 doesn’t go beyond his brilliant influence, but in Night City, Johnny Silverhand, and his horrifying vision of hypercapitalism manage to claim their own territory.”
GamesRadar (5/5) – “Cyberpunk 2077’s flaws in the short of the core campaign, overcome with depth and soul, offer a world of intrigue and violence unlike any other.”
The Verge (no score) – “Cyberpunk 2077 is a game that is often satisfying and sometimes impressive, but against the backdrop of a fast-moving future, it hardly ever surprises.”
Polygons (no score) – “I can’t deny that Night City amazes me with its scale, verticality, and historical sense. But I wish I could see people like me on the streets as something more than an object. I wish the politics of the game were more radical.”
IGN (9/10) – “Cyberpunk 2077 throws you into a beautiful, dense urban landscape and offers tremendous flexibility in how you choose to take it from there.”
PC Gamers (78/100) – “Some good characters and stories nestled in a stunning open world, weakened by annoying bugs at every turn”.
Game Informer (9/10) – “The wait is worth the wait for CD Projekt Red’s next open-world RPG, but it’s an uneven game that shines in certain areas and struggles in others.”
Windows Central (5/5) – “Cyberpunk 2077 is an open world masterpiece featuring some of the most immersive and liberating storytelling this game has to offer.”
The Gamers (5/5) – “I’ve tried it a week and played 70 hours. Like a digital personality loaded onto a biochip, it feels like stepping into another life for a while. It’s a life that can’t wait to be revived. “
Stevivor (9.5/10) – “The most important thing everyone needs to know about Cyberpunk 2077 is that while it’s not perfect, it’s undoubtedly a great game.”
VentureBeat (6/10) – “I think Cyberpunk 2077 brings the sensation of playing the big-budget game that many people are looking for. But for me, the game failed in several key areas, and many of them came as a by-product of its ambition. “
