COD Mobile World Cup Officially Canceled, This is Activision’s Reason!

Call of Duty: Mobile developer Activision has officially canceled the Grand Finals of the CODM World Championship tournament.

This tournament is supposed to be the first CODM tournament hosted by Activision and each of the best teams in each region will compete for a total prize pool of $750,000 (approximately 10.5 Billion Rupiah).

Unfortunately the CODM Championship had to be canceled as Activision cited their concerns about the safety and health of the players throughout the tournament due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Activision announced the news via a tweet on the official COD Mobile Twitter account

Initially the Grand Final was planned to be held in the city of Los Angeles, United States of America and the first place winner would take home $15,000 (approximately 200+ Million Rupiah).

However, due to cancellation, all prizes from the tournament will be divided equally among all the teams that have won the Regional Playoff Champions title.
