AYA Neo, Handheld Console for IDR 10 Million with AMD Ryzen 5 Power
GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – Handheld consoles are usually not supported at maximum power. This is apparently what AYA Neo wants to change. After being developed for some time, finally this handheld console equipped with AMD Ryzen 5 4500U CPU power is ready for release. This handheld console features a “Renoir” architecture, complete with Radeon 6 Vega Graphics.
Powered by an AMD Ryzen 5 4500U CPU, the processor has 6 cores, 6 threads and is based on the Zen 2 Architecture. The graphics are integrated with Radeon 6 Vega graphics with only 6 Compute Units (384 Streaming Processors). The AYA Neo also has 16GB of LPDDR4X memory and a 1TB NVMe SSD inside. The screen is a 1280×800 IPS display and all of this is backed by a 47wH battery that can last up to 6 hours of use. But when heavy games are run, the power can be reduced by up to 67 percent to last only about 2 hours.
While some of the graphics components may seem a little disappointing, the Aya Neo is one of those handheld consoles that can run some of the toughest games. In low to medium games, with a resolution setting of 1280×800, users can have a solid gaming experience with good frame rates. When tested running heavy games such as GTA 5, Crysis Remastered to Cyberpunk 2077, Neo was able to reach 30+ FPS.
Currently, the console is ready to ship to customers and its first reviewers are the founders of AYA Neo. This console model has a translucent chassis and will be delivered to supporters involved in crowdfunding. Later on, the AYA Neo which is released in the market will likely have a different look compared to the Founder edition.
The reviewers who have posted reviews like Taki Udon and ETA Prime on their Youtube channel have already voiced their first impressions. Both looked at the console specs, but then took a different approach.
ETA Prime saw the unboxing experience and then saw performance in Forza Horizon 4, GTA 5, Skyrim, Street Fighter 5, Doom Eternal, CS:GO, Fortnite, and even Crysis Remastered. Taki Udon looks at product quality by reviewing battery performance, cooling, display, build quality and performing some performance benchmarks at the end.
The plan is for this handheld console to be released to the general public on March 10, 2021. The price of the Aya Neo is planned to be marketed at 699 USD or around Rp. 10 million. Later they will compete with other handheld consoles such as the One Gx1 Pro and GDP Win3 which are supported by Intel Tiger Lake CPUs with Xe Graphics.
