A number of Mario items are present in Animal Crossing
GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – Nintendo added a number of Mario-themed items to Animal Crossing: New Horizons. This collaboration between Animal Crossing and Mario is part of the celebration of the 35th birthday of Mario, the Nintendo icon. As The Verge reports, Nintendo announced the new content will be available on February 25, The Verge reported Thursday.
These updates include Mario and Luigi’s signature costumes as well as items like Super Mushrooms, flags, coins, blocks, and power stars to make the islands feel more in tune with Mario’s world. Nintendo has also released a trailer that shows off a variety of possibilities, from classic dungeon-themed items to villagers dressed up in typical Mario costumes.
These updates will be available free of charge. Nintendo leaked the update earlier this year, and apparently it arrived a little earlier than expected. Animal Crossing: New Horizons continues to host in-game events throughout the year to keep the game fresh. Earlier this week, gamers got carnival content.
Nintendo recently revealed that the first year sales of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, released in March 2021, have been phenomenal, even surpassing the hardware that ran it during 2021. According to Nintendo’s latest financial report, New Horizons has sold 31.18 million copies. as of December 31, 2021. For comparison, the Nintendo Switch sold 27.3 million units during 2021, whereas Animal Crossing was not released until March of the same year.
The game, which was launched last March, has become popular, especially after the launch coincided with the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic which required people to stay at home. This life simulation genre game has become one of the favorite games that gamers can play from home.
