Zai Splits with Evil Geniuses, ppd Resigns from CEO
With The International 2021, the teams Dota 2 from all over the world are starting to improve by making changes roster. Several teams like Infamous, Fnatic, and TNC have already announced roster their new team, and America’s top team Evil Geniuses (EG) didn’t want to be left behind either. But they don’t just announce changes roster.
In an announcement on their Facebook page, Peter “ppd” Dager will step down from his role as CEO, eight months after taking office as Twitch loses ownership of EG. His decision was purely on his desire to pursue something new in his career, and the two parted ways without leaving any conflict behind.
Philip Aram, team manager Dota 2 EG, will rise to COO for this organization. He will also be assisted by several new staff, one of which will replace his position as manager in the team Dota 2 EG.
In the same announcement, EG will also part with zai who plays in position support. This is the second time Zai has parted ways with EG after the previous one because he moved to Team Secret. This time, he stated that he was moving on to seek new adventures and opportunities outside of EG. Unfortunately, EG has not announced who will replace Zai.
Team gait Dota 2 EG throughout the 2021-17 season was not bad. They are still considered the best team in the Americas region and the top team globally. This is evident from their achievements, namely the first place in Dotapit Season 5, MDL 2021 Autumn, and Manila Masters, as well as finish in a fairly high position in other tournaments. Unfortunately, at The International 2021, they got a disappointing result after losing to Team Empire in the second round lower bracket.
The following is Dota 2 roster Current EG:
- Artour “Arteezy Babaev
- Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan
- Saahil “UNiVeRsE” Arora
- Andreas “Cr1t-” Nielsen
- Clinton “Fear” Loomis (coach)
