Walkthrough Biomutant Part 2: How To Beat Porky Puff

While Biomutant lets you change the narrative through player-driven choices, most games follow a set pattern. This guide is picked up after you defeat Jumbo Puff and will guide you through the battle with the next World Eater, Porky Puff.

Some minor details may change based on previous player decisions, but this Biomutant guide will give you a basic overview of everything you need to know to kill a terrifying second World Eater.

Starting From the Tree of Life

After you defeat Jumbo Puff, you will be sent to visit the Out-of-Date in the Tree of Life. He’ll discuss the Ark he’s working on and give you the option of bringing four friends with you in case of an emergency, so keep your favorite NPC in mind as you work out the main storyline.

After talking to Out-of-Date, walk towards Goop, who will help you to deal with Porky Puff. As you get closer to the location, you’ll need to break through the wall using Klonkfist. Don’t worry, it’s hard to get stuck here, because Biomutant will actually provide quests that tell you which walls to destroy.

Talking To Goop & Setting Up Googlide

Once you get to Goop, they’ll ask you to help complete the preparations on Googlide. This tool works like a speedboat, allowing you to navigate dangerous waters without worrying about running out of Ki Energy.

Goop will then send you to meet the local ornithologist Gulp, who will equip Googlide with Gumquacks.

Although they have a fairly long respawn time if you manage to run out of stock, they can be used to distract Porky Puffs during the battle.

Time For Side Quest

While running all these quests, maybe you will find the town of Pokburr. Defeat all the enemies surrounding the village, then spend a few minutes exploring all that it has to offer.

If you haven’t strayed far off the beaten path, this might be your first time encountering Gear and Weapon Upgrade Booths, both of which are essential to keeping your gear on par with the enemy.

After you’ve upgraded your weapons and talked to local vendors, it’s time to head back to defeat Porky Puff.

How to Beat Porky Puff

Despite taking place on a watery battlefield, Porky Puff’s fights are just like the previous Jumbo Puff fights. The action will be broken up into different phases, although most just introduce a few new attacks that you have to dodge without affecting your overall strategy.

In most cases, you’ll want to stay as far away from Porky Puff as possible. Because the evil beast had a tendency to launch shockwave attacks that were almost impossible to dodge at close range.

While in range, aim for the small, unsightly growth that lies at the feet of the Porky Puff. Destroying these deals significant damage and can unlock monsters for further attacks.

You have to keep an eye on the bombs floating all over the battlefield. If you can attach one to Googlide and have enough Porky Puff, you can blow it up and deal massive damage.

Porky Puff: Stage 2

After fighting for almost half the game, Porky Puff will take you away from the water and turn the fight into a normal firefight. Although this part of the boss battle is arguably more difficult than anything you’ve encountered so far, you can now use all weapons and Psi Power.

Porky Puff has a variety of deadly attacks on land, but most of them can be completely avoided by always getting behind him. Make it a priority to stay behind the Porky Puff and about 15 feet from the bottom. Doing so will limit attack options.

If you have a melee based class, the Porky Puff fight might be very difficult. Approaching the beast was not an easy task. Meanwhile, remote players will consider this battle a cakewalk.

If you’re having trouble with this phase of the fight, the best option is to go back into the world and find some more decent weapons or increase your Psi Power. These two things are essential to defeating Porky Puff and will make the second phase battle much more challenging.

Once you’ve defeated Porky Puff, you’ll have the option to ask Goop to join you on the Ark. Whatever your choice, please return to Out-of-Date and learn about the next quest. Believe it or not, there’s actually something else you have to do before you face off against a third World Eater.
