Valve Holds Frostivus Custom Games Contest

Valve always provides the latest updates regarding DotA 2 game content, both related to game mechanics and events, as well as game customization. Every year, Valve honors winter holidays, and this year it’s the same. Valve has named the winter holiday celebration Frostivus. To help celebrate Frostivus 2021, Valve is pleased to announce a new game customization contest. Its name is Frostivus Custom Games Contest.

Each entry to the Frostivus Custom Games Contest must be the latest game customization with the theme around Frostivus. To enter, participants must submit the latest copy of the game customization by November 20, 2021.

The entries for the Frostivus Custom Games Contest will be selected by Valve and the winner of the Frostivus Custom Games Contest will receive a prize pool of $30,000. Although the deadline for this contest for submitting the final copy is November 20, Valve recommends that you involve other people during your development process beforehand and ask them to play games to give you feedback. Be sure to tag your game with “Frostivus 2021” so fans can find your game in the workshop. Check the Frostivus 2021 Contest Rules page for all entry requirements.

Ahead of the Frostivus season, there are a few other things in the works at the moment. The next big release is The Dueling Fates update. Valve is still hard at work and doesn’t have a definite release date yet. However, they estimate that the update will take about another month to complete the content. Valve is also putting the finishing touches on the next True Sight episode, which is scheduled for release on Tuesday next week.
