Sades Spellond Review: Comfortable and Affordable Virtual Gaming Headset 7.1

Gaming headsets for gamers have become mandatory tools. Sound quality and build quality are generally the two main parameters determining which headset to buy. For the Virtual Gaming Headset 7.1 brand that we are reviewing this time, it is not included in the radar for high-class audio quality enthusiasts. But this Chinese manufacturer deserves the attention of those looking for build quality and design.

Nice design & build quality

The first thing to commend is the build quality of this $500 headset. Apart from the build quality that looks very sturdy, the weight is also quite heavy, looking more expensive than their official price. Most are dominated by plastic with thick and comfortable head-band and CUP pads. Comfortable because it uses very good quality upholstery materials. Sades Spellond offers this comfort down to the head-band area which incidentally presses the head area. For the gaming headset class with quite affordable prices, the convenience of this product is the first selling point of this product.Sades Spellond A60The large head-band design makes the clamping force above average. This allows users to have more freedom of expression without fear of falling CUP position. The consequence, however, is that it weighs all the way to the flipside, which after prolonged use often creates a bit of pressure on the neck.

Sades Spellond uses a CUP design with an angular gaming aura. The size of the inner diameter of the CUP is quite large, suitable for overshadowing the 50mm diameter driver also for most Asian ear sizes, unfortunately the CUP cannot be rotated. The outside of the Sades Spellond CUP looks more futuristic in the form of a dagger with leds that illuminate the Sades wolf head icon. There are 3 different led colors for the type of vibration which are also available in 3 levels.

Sades doesn’t only think about durability around the main head unit, but also… cabling. Sades Spellond is equipped with a 3 meter long shielded cable that is strong and not easy to “tangle”. After the cable, users can find an audio remote control that gives access to the volume rocker, audio mute, mic mute and a shortcut to the Virtual Sound toggle. The size of the remote button is quite large, still suitable for those of you with big fingers. Maybe because of the design, another minus point of this A60 is the microphone stick is not flexible.

Audio Rate

For gaming, the surround effect that is produced is very good. Very helpful to add to the feel of games, especially the horror genre or increase your responsiveness compared to using a standard stereo headset. The strength of the sound that tends to boom also adds to the reality of some scenes that offer explosive or rumbling sounds.

Sades himself does not yet have a large fan database in Indonesia, let alone fans in the audiopile circle. Even those who are 1 level below the audiopile do not necessarily agree to recommend this A60 as a good ear friend. The point is, for those who listen to music occasionally, the Sades Spellond A60 is ok with its powerful sound characteristics. Tends to be warm but soft with the close type which unfortunately makes some background noises often drowned out by low-frequency vibrations (bass). The microphone itself offers noise canceling which is quite good for those of you who want to use it for impromptu audio recording. But in gaming, the whispers you mean to your teammates will never arrive.

Conclusion

Everyone will regret the position of the mic, which is too far from the mouth and inflexible. But it seems that Sades was forced to set it that way to balance the design. Gamers who have limited budget should try this headset. You can also rely on multimedia performance, not too bad in our opinion. And for the problem of weight that is enough to press the neck after long-term use, it probably won’t apply to everyone, and maybe including you.

Pros:

  • Build Quality and Comfort
  • Vibration Features
  • Nice surround sound

Cons

MIC is not flexible
