Second Day Round 2 Recap of The International 7
The match between Virtus.Pro against LGD ended with a score of 2-0 in which Virtus.Pro managed to win 2 sets of matches in a row, so the third match did not need to be played again. The first match showed the drafting genius of the Virtus.Pro team who carefully thought about which heroes to ban, and used them to overcome LGD Gaming’s strategy.
Of the two, Virtus.Pro’s drafting was more highlighted because of the selection of Night Stalker, and also Crystal Maiden which then ended with a brilliant choice of offlane, namely Omniknight. This ultimate hero is very useful in saving the team from the Trolls and Lich used by LGD.
The selection of the right hero makes Virtus.Pro able to play a full aggressive strategy typical of Steam DotA 2 CIS gamers. The uniqueness occurs in the Night Stalker played by Lil VP. He bought a helmet of dominator to then take the centaur used to push the lane, and also the gank. With full and brilliant aggressive play, VP won the first game in 22 minutes.
After winning the first game, the condition of the VP team was very good. As in the first game, VP plays fast-paced strategy. The selection of Chen and Venomancer was the key. It is proven that Venomancer bullied an enemy who was in the same lane with him. Chen was able to push the lane well. For team warfare, special credit goes to Faceless Void who played his ultimate very well. This second match ended quickly, which was less than 30 minutes.
Switching to the Lower Bracket Round 2 match on the second day of The International 7. There was Team Empire which was surprisingly able to finish EG’s progress in the MOBA DotA 2 The International 7 games tournament with a score of 2-0.
Then there was Team Liquid, which ended Team Secret’s hopes with a score of 2-1. Team Secret’s revenge in the group phase failed to be carried out.
So, that’s the recap of the second round of 2 days of The International 7. Spread the news!
