Razer Cynosa Chroma and Chroma Pro reviews

Again targeting gamers on a budget, Razer recently released two of its newest cheap gaming keyboards for the budget segment, namely the Cynosa Chroma and Cynosa Chroma Pro.

Membrane Keyboard

These two full-size layout gaming keyboards still rely on a membrane keyboard that can also be found on the Ornata Chroma, which is a cheap gaming keyboard released by Razer last year.

The name ‘Chroma’ pinned on this budget gaming keyboard indicates that both have been equipped with an RGB lighting system that can be customized and connected to other Razer devices. And Cynosa comes with an important feature that many gamers seem to need when playing games, namely water resistance!

Waterproof Keyboard

Although not completely waterproof, the Cynosa mode keyboard can still work normally after you (for example) accidentally spill water on it. Razer did not explain in detail how the construction of this keyboard is so that it can be waterproof, but there are strong indications that the company led by Min-Liang Tan is taking advantage of the grooves and channels in the keyboard body to drain liquids out before damaging the electronic components inside.

Responsive and Full Customization

This keyboard is also equipped with a keycap holder that is specifically designed to provide a more comfortable, solid, quiet and responsive keyboard experience compared to other membrane keyboards. Razer also guarantees that this gaming keyboard is able to provide more accurate control no matter what genre of game you play.

In addition, the Cynosa Chroma keyboard is also designed not to require a wrist rest when used with a swooping front design. Not to forget, this keyboard is also equipped with an anti-ghosting 10-key roll-over feature that makes this keyboard responsive to all inputs when you press the keys.

Like any other Razer gaming keyboard, Cynosa Chroma and Chroma Pro can also be programmed through the Razer Synapse software, both for key functions, macros and also personalizing the colors and effects of this ED keyboard light.

Price and Difference Cynosa Chroma Pro

When viewed from the features and functions, the Cynosa Chroma and Chroma Pro keyboards are almost identical. What distinguishes the two is the underglow RGB. Cynosa Chroma Pro has an underglow RGB section that makes your gaming table look luxurious and festive. The underglow RGB section has 24 separate zones, each of which can be customized as you like!

Both the Cynosa Chroma and Cynosa Chroma Pro can be ordered now through the official Razer website. In terms of pricing, the Cynosa Chroma retails for US$60, while the Cynosa Chroma Pro model retails for US$80.
