Pikuniku Announced 2021 Release

Taking place in London, on 30 August 2021, independent developer Sectordub and monotone game label Devolver Digital have announced Pikuniku is coming to Nintendo Switch and PC in 2021. The game has debuted with a pretty fun announcement trailer and will be playing on PAX. West this weekend at the Indie Megabooth.

Pikuniku Game Background

Pikuniku is a senseless exploration puzzle game set in a strange and fun world where not everything is as relaxing as it seems. Play as Piku who is a fresh-faced and sleeveless person. He used to help the townspeople discover domestic conspiracies, face their fears, and rebuild a cheerful community on fun adventures.

Players will explore the colorful world at their own pace, help unique characters with their unusual requests, and solve clever puzzles without hurting anyone. Players will follow an eccentric mayor who leads a village full of strange characters filled with worries and doubts as a character in a perfect world but on the verge of chaos.

Players must help them, make some friends, and bring this community back together through your good deeds! Team up with a friend, Niku, to conquer a series of customized two-player levels in local cooperative mode.

“During early development, it became clear that if we were to add all the flaws and violence that gamers wanted, it would cost a lot more,” said Devolver Digital CFO Fork Parker of Pikuniku. “And I wouldn’t pay more than I should have been prepared for for the bright colors and unbeatable cute characters.”

Pikuniku is currently in development for Nintendo Switch and PC with a 2021 release target.
